How much does it cost to host a trivia night in Daytona Beach?
An honest breakdown of trivia-hosting pricing in the Daytona / Volusia County market — what drives cost, what is included, and what to look out for.
“How much does it cost?” is the first question almost every venue asks us. It is also the question most trivia-hosting companies dodge. So here is the honest answer.
The range
For a weekly, two-hour trivia night in the Daytona Beach / Volusia County market in 2026, you are typically looking at a per-night cost somewhere in the low-to-mid hundreds of dollars. Higher for fully-produced themed nights, lower for very small venues willing to sign a long-term commitment.
That sounds like a wide range. It is — because the actual number depends on a lot of moving parts.
What drives the price
- Frequency. Weekly nights price better per-night than one-offs. We invest in your venue’s success and that justifies more attractive per-night pricing.
- Length. 90 minutes is cheaper than two hours. Two hours is cheaper than three.
- Production. A classic spoken-question trivia night is at the lower end. A fully-produced themed night with custom A/V, props, and a finale prize structure is much higher.
- Travel. Daytona-area venues pay no travel surcharge. Outside Volusia County, we factor in travel time and gas.
- Equipment. If you have a working sound system we use yours. If we bring full A/V, it is built into the quote.
- Length of commitment. A 12-week season pre-booked together prices better than month-to-month.
What should be included (and isn’t, sometimes)
Watch out for hosts who quote a low per-night number and then upcharge for everything:
- Custom-written questions vs. generic packs
- Scoring software / team tracking
- Prize structures and prize fulfillment
- Social media graphics for the event
- Pre-event marketing
- Equipment
- Post-event recap, photos, leaderboard updates
A real package should include all of the above. If you are seeing a $150/night quote, ask what is actually in it.
What you should be measuring against the cost
The honest framing: a weekly trivia night is a marketing investment for your venue. The cost is justified by:
- Lift in food and beverage sales on the trivia night vs. the same night pre-trivia.
- New customer acquisition (people who came for trivia but came back for non-trivia reasons).
- Repeat trivia attendance — your trivia regulars become your bar regulars.
For most venues, weekly trivia covers its cost within 4-6 weeks and is meaningfully profitable from week 8 onward. We are happy to walk through the math on a discovery call with realistic numbers for your specific venue.
