Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Red Thread Events platform and services operated by Garrett Makes It LLC, based in Daytona Beach, Florida (“Red Thread Events,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Red Thread Events platform at redthreadhub.net, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy at /privacy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. This service is not directed to children under 13. By creating an account, you represent that you are 13 years of age or older.
If you are using the platform on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Account Terms
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• Keep your contact information current.
• Notify us immediately at garrett@garrettmakesit.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• Not share your account credentials with others.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Red Thread Events platform to:
• Send unsolicited messages or spam to other users or event participants.
• Impersonate another person, business, or event host, or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, networks, or other users’ accounts.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to harm systems.
• Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law or regulation.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without our express written permission.
5. Payments, Invoicing, and Cancellation
Invoices for Red Thread Events services are issued and processed via Stripe. Payment is due on the terms stated on the invoice. For recurring monthly platform subscriptions:
• Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
• You will retain access to the platform through the end of the paid period after cancellation.
No refunds are issued on completed event hosting services or other completed work unless otherwise negotiated in writing with Red Thread Events prior to delivery. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at garrett@garrettmakesit.com within 30 days of the charge.
6. Photography and Likeness at Live Events
By attending Red Thread-hosted live events, you grant Red Thread Events permission to use your likeness in event recap photos and videos shared on social media and promotional materials. This includes but is not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and the Red Thread Events website.
If you do not wish to appear in such media, please notify the host before the event begins. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
7. Intellectual Property
The Red Thread Events platform, including its content, design, software, and brand marks, is owned by Garrett Makes It LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as profile information or event feedback), and by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the platform.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Red Thread Events platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Red Thread Events (Garrett Makes It LLC) and its officers, employees, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform or services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the services shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
Garrett Makes It, LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others. Per the DMCA, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement on the Service if submitted to our Copyright Agent as described below. Upon receipt of a notice alleging copyright infringement, we will take whatever action we deem appropriate within our sole discretion, including removal of the allegedly infringing materials and termination of access for repeat infringers of copyright-protected content.
If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by us or by a third party who has uploaded materials to the Service, please provide the following information to the designated Copyright Agent listed below: (1) a description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed; (2) a description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Service; (3) an address, telephone number, and email address where we can contact you and, if different, an email address where the alleged infringing party, if not us, can contact you; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or other intellectual property rights owner, by its agent, or by law; (5) a statement by you, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (6) your electronic or physical signature.
Garrett Makes It, LLC may request additional information before removing any allegedly infringing material. In the event we remove the allegedly infringing materials, we will immediately notify the person responsible for posting such materials that we removed or disabled access to the materials. We may also provide the responsible person with your email address so that the person may respond to your allegations.

Counter-notification: if your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal; (3) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent. We may restore the removed material as permitted under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
Repeat infringers: we will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Submitting a materially false notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
