Setting Up a Social Client
How to add a client, create a project, set posting rules, and use the client approval portal.
Social-media client management lives under Clients, and needs the Social Media Management module on your plan.
Adding a client
From the Clients list, click + New Client to start the onboarding wizard. It walks through the business's info, then which services they use (events, social media, consulting — each with its own notes field), an optional venue, and their social accounts (toggle a platform on and add the handle and profile URL). A client added or edited later from its own page uses a simpler form without the services or social-handle fields, so add those during onboarding.
Creating a project
Open the client and create a project — a shoot, a trainee assignment, or a general project, depending on the client's industry. Fill in a name, status, date, location, package, and the subject's contact info and release status, then Save.
Posting rules
On a project, add Posting Rules to enforce a client's requirements automatically — a required watermark, a wait period after the shoot, tagging the subject, which platforms are allowed, required caption mentions, and more. Each rule can warn or block. When someone drafts a post for this project in Compose, it's checked against these rules live, which makes posting rules especially useful for photographer clients.
The client portal
Clients review and approve their own posts from a portal with three tabs: Needs Approval, All Posts, and Accounts. From Needs Approval they can approve a post (individually or several at once) or request a revision, which requires a short note explaining what to change.
