Creating Your First Event

How to create an event, move it from draft to confirmed, and assign a host.

From the dashboard, click New Event. You'll need a name, a venue, a start date/time, and which module the event runs (Trivia, Karaoke, Bingo, or Open Mic) — everything else can be filled in later.

Draft vs. confirmed

A new event starts in draft. Draft events aren't visible to attendees and don't appear on public leaderboards — use this stage to finish setting up rounds, pricing, or staffing before it goes live. Move it to confirmed when it's ready to be seen.

Assigning a host

Under the event's Staffing tab, assign the host who'll run it live. A host only sees events they're assigned to — they won't see your full event calendar unless they also have an admin role.

Going live

On event day, the assigned host opens the event and switches it to live from their dashboard — this is what makes the live scoring screen and the public display mode start updating in real time.
