Running a Season

How to create a season, assign events to it, and how standings roll up.

A season groups recurring events — a trivia league, say — so scores and standings carry across the weeks instead of resetting each night.

Creating a season

From Seasons, create one with a name, a status, and a start and end date. A new season has no events in it yet.

Assigning events

Events join a season from the event's own form, not from the season page — open (or create) the event and pick the season from its Season field. Repeat for every event you want counted toward the same standings.

Standings

Standings roll up automatically: every time a score is recorded, the season's leaderboard recalculates on the server, ranked by total points with games played breaking ties. There's nothing to manually recompute — the season's leaderboard always reflects the latest scores.
