How Live Scoring Works
How scores sync between the host device and the public display, including offline hosting.
Scores update on the host's device and on the public display screen at the same time — there's no separate step to "publish" a round's results.
Entering scores
The host enters each team's answer or point total per round from the live scoring screen. Entering a score immediately recalculates that team's running total and leaderboard position.
Offline hosting
If the venue's connection drops mid-event, scoring keeps working — entries are saved locally on the host's device and sync automatically once the connection returns. The public display screen won't update until the host is back online, but nothing entered offline is lost.
Correcting a mistake
A host can edit any round's score for the current event at any time — corrections recalculate the leaderboard the same way a new entry does, so a fixed typo shows up immediately on the display screen too.
